Exploring Jesus Rafael Soto's Blue Penetrable BBL. Soro's installation is part of The Suprasensorial exhibit on display at The Hirshorn Museum through May 13 in Washington D.C.. I liked walk through and experiencing another one of his sculptures in white vinyl when it was on display at The Art Institute of Chicago in the late 1970s. (Does anyone know if it is currently on display there?)

This Blue Penetrable BBL was a such a treat! I will post some still photos on the blog, too.

The first sign on the bud nodules triggers a daily vigil to watch the buds grow to this size over a week's time and then burst into bloom. These are in my neighbor's garden.
